Verkkokaapeli Lanberg LCU5-10CC-0305-O U/UTP Cat5 305m oranssi

The Lanberg LCU5-10CC-0305-O U/UTP Cat5 networking cable is a 305-meter spool of orange Cat5 cable designed for structured cabling installations. The unshielded twisted pair (U/UTP) construction supports standard Ethernet signal transmission and is suitable for creating horizontal or backbone runs in small to medium networks. The bright orange jacket improves visibility in cable trays and wiring closets and helps separate this run from other infrastructure wiring.

Advantages

This Cat5 cable provides consistent data transmission over typical local network distances and is supplied on a 305 m reel to reduce joins and ensure a continuous run. The U/UTP design minimizes crosstalk between pairs under normal installation conditions. The durable outer jacket in orange offers simple identification and basic mechanical protection during installation and maintenance.

Suitable for

• Horizontal cabling in offices and commercial premises
• Patch panel to switch connections in wiring closets
• Network installations where color coding is required
• Temporary or permanent runs where a long continuous length is needed

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat5
• Conductor pairs: 4 twisted pairs (U/UTP)
• Length: 305 m
• Jacket colour: Orange
• Suitable transmission: Ethernet and other balanced data signals up to Cat5 performance limits

How to use

Measure the required run length and unspool the cable from the reel, keeping the cable under gentle tension to avoid kinks. Terminate each end with appropriate RJ45 connectors or patch panels rated for Cat5 performance, following standard wiring schemes (T568A or T568B). Test each terminated link with a cable tester to verify continuity, pair integrity and performance before finalising the installation. Secure the cable in trays or along routes using appropriate cable management accessories and avoid close parallel runs with mains power lines to reduce interference risk.

Recommendations

Use this U/UTP Cat5 cable for general-purpose Ethernet installations where Cat5 performance is sufficient. For environments with high electromagnetic interference or stricter performance requirements, consider higher category or shielded alternatives and follow local cabling standards when planning and documenting the installation.
