Verkkokaapeli METZ CONNECT 1308457555-E 7,5 m Cat6a S/FTP vihreä

The METZ CONNECT 1308457555-E 7.5 m Cat6a S/FTP Green is a shielded Ethernet patch cable designed for high-speed network connections. Built to Cat6a specifications with S/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors, this cable supports data transfer rates up to 10,000 Mbit/s and is suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet links over short to moderate distances. The green jacket provides easy visual identification within structured cabling environments.

Advantages

This Cat6a S/FTP cable offers improved electromagnetic compatibility due to its braided overall shield and foil-wrapped pairs, reducing crosstalk and external interference. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs ensure reliable contact and corrosion resistance, while the 7.5 m length covers typical desk-to-rack and equipment-to-switch connections without excess slack. The green outer sheath facilitates cable management and quick identification in multi-cable installations.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections in offices, server rooms, and data closets
• High-bandwidth applications such as video streaming, large file transfers, and virtualization
• Structured cabling where shielded cables are required to limit EMI
• Workstation to patch-panel or switch connections within the same room or adjacent racks

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a (augmented performance)
• Shielding: S/FTP — braided overall shield with individually foil-wrapped pairs
• Connector type: RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 7.5 meters
• Maximum supported data rate: up to 10,000 Mbit/s (10 Gbps)
• Colour: green
• Typical applications: 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T/10GBASE-T compatible

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the network interface of your device and the other to a compatible switch, patch panel or router port. Ensure that both connected ports support the desired link speed and that patch panel or switch ports have proper grounding if using shielded cables. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and heavy compression; maintain bend radius recommended for twisted-pair cabling to preserve signal integrity. For best results, avoid running the cable parallel to power lines or near strong sources of electromagnetic interference.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6a S/FTP cable for short to medium runs where 10 Gbps performance or enhanced shielding is required. Verify connector seating for a secure link and check that connected equipment supports shielded twisted pair cabling and has proper grounding to benefit from the shield.
