Verkkokaapeli METZ CONNECT 141N113K13K20 2m Cat6 S/FTP keltainen

The METZ CONNECT 141N113K13K20 2m Cat6 S/FTP Yellow is a shielded Ethernet patch cable designed for reliable high-speed data transmission in structured networks. This cable meets Category 6 performance, uses S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference, and terminates in standard RJ-45 connectors on both ends. The 2 meter length provides flexibility for connecting network devices in racks, wall outlets or desktop setups, while the yellow jacket improves visibility for cable management and identification.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines an overall foil shield with individually braided shields around each twisted pair, offering improved protection against crosstalk and external noise compared with unshielded cables. Category 6 specification supports higher bandwidths and stable transmission rates for Ethernet applications up to 250 MHz. The molded RJ-45 plugs provide consistent connectivity and strain relief to reduce connector stress. The bright yellow outer jacket simplifies identification in multi-cable environments and helps maintain organized cable runs.

Suitable for

• Structured cabling in offices and server rooms
• Connecting switches, routers, patch panels and desktop equipment
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference
• Visible cable routing and color-coded network installations

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individual braided shields)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Length: 2 m
• Jacket color: Yellow
• Impedance: 100 Ω (typical for Cat6 cables)
• Rated frequency: up to 250 MHz

How to use

Route the cable between network devices ensuring connectors are fully seated into RJ-45 ports until the latch clicks. Avoid tight bends and excessive pulling during installation; maintain the manufacturer's recommended bend radius and do not exceed tensile stress limits. When used in shielded installations, connect the cable shields to grounded equipment or grounding points to ensure effective EMC protection. Trim and secure excess length with cable ties or management panels to prevent strain on connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat6 S/FTP cable in combination with compatible shielded connectors, patch panels and properly grounded infrastructure. Avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines; if unavoidable, maintain separation or use conduit. Regularly inspect connectors for damage and replace the cable if shielding or jacket integrity is compromised.
