Verkkokaapeli METZ CONNECT 142M2X25020 2 m Cat6a vihreä RJ-45 M12

The METZ CONNECT 142M2X25020 is a 2-meter Cat6a networking cable with an RJ-45 connector on one end and an M12 connector on the other. Designed to support high-speed data transmission in industrial and commercial environments, this green cable provides the physical connectivity needed for Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications where a robust, shielded connection is required. The cable meets the Cat6a performance class for reduced crosstalk and consistent bandwidth over its length, while the combination of RJ-45 and M12 terminations allows integration between standard IT equipment and industrial devices.

Advantages

This cable offers Cat6a performance for reliable high-frequency transmission and improved alien crosstalk immunity compared with lower categories. The RJ-45 to M12 configuration simplifies connection between office networking hardware and industrial automation equipment without adapters. Its 2 m length is suitable for short runs while keeping cable management straightforward. The green jacket provides clear visual identification within cable bundles and installations, helping with maintenance and organization.

Suitable for

• Connecting industrial controllers, sensors or actuators to standard network switches
• High-speed Ethernet links in factory, automation or machine-room environments
• Short equipment-to-equipment runs where a shielded Cat6a link is required

Key specifications

• Length: 2 m
• Cable category: Cat6a (augmented Category 6)
• Connector A: RJ-45
• Connector B: M12
• Color: Green
• Intended use: Ethernet data transmission up to Cat6a performance

How to use

Verify device compatibility for RJ-45 and M12 terminations before installation. Insert the RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of the switch, router or network interface and secure the M12 connector to the matching M12 port on the industrial device following the device manufacturer’s guidance for mating and panel locking. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain recommended bend radii and secure with appropriate cable clips or ties. After installation, test the link using network diagnostic tools to confirm negotiated speed and signal integrity.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines and maintain separation from sources of electromagnetic interference. Use the green jacket for easy identification in multi-cable installations and replace damaged cables to maintain network reliability.
