Verkkokaapeli ShiverPeaks 08-64003 CAT 6 S/FTP PIMF, patch-/datakaapeli gigabit-Ethernetille

ShiverPeaks 08-64003 CAT 6 S/FTP PIMF patch/data cable is designed for structured cabling environments that require reliable Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. The cable combines individually foil‑shielded pairs (S/FTP) with an overall braided shield and PIMF (Pairs in Metal Foil) construction to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain pair integrity over horizontal runs and patching applications in offices, server rooms and data centers.

Advantages

The S/FTP design with individual pair shielding and an overall braid provides enhanced immunity to external EMI and crosstalk compared with unshielded cabling. PIMF construction supports consistent pair geometry for predictable electrical performance across the CAT 6 frequency range. The cable is suitable for short patching runs and horizontal cabling where space and connector orientation are constrained, offering compatibility with standard RJ45 terminations and Gigabit Ethernet equipment.

Suitable for

• Office workstations and VoIP phone connections
• Server room patch panels and rack-to-rack connections
• Data center horizontal cabling and equipment interconnects
• Environments with moderate electromagnetic interference

Key specifications

• Category: CAT 6 performance for Gigabit Ethernet
• Shielding: S/FTP — individual foil shield per pair plus overall braided shield
• Construction: PIMF (Pairs in Metal Foil) to preserve pair geometry
• Application: Patch/data cable for structured cabling and horizontal runs
• Length: 0.25 m (patch lead length)
• Connector orientation: angled to straight option (suitable for space-constrained routing)
• Color: green (cable jacket)

How to use

Connect the cable between RJ45 ports of switches, patch panels, routers or network devices to establish a Gigabit Ethernet link. Ensure connectors are fully seated and that the braided shield is properly terminated at the patch panel or connector to preserve shielding effectiveness. Route the cable avoiding tight bends and strong mechanical stress; maintain minimum bend radius as recommended for CAT 6 cables to avoid impairing signal performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the ShiverPeaks CAT 6 S/FTP PIMF cable in shielded or grounded installations where available. Keep patch lengths short for patch panels and equipment interconnects, and segregate power cabling from data runs to minimize potential interference. Verify compatibility with device ports and confirm that terminations maintain shield continuity.
