ShiverPeaks 75711-H0.5-SET10 Cat6 S/FTP PIMF patch cable set contains ten 0.5 m cables engineered for short interconnections in structured networks. Each cable uses Cat6 conductor and S/FTP shielding with PIMF (pair in metal foil) construction to reduce electromagnetic interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk, making the set suitable for high-speed Ethernet and Gigabit links in racks, switches and confined cabinet environments.

Advantages

The S/FTP PIMF design provides combined overall braid shielding and individual pair foil shielding, improving signal integrity in environments with multiple nearby cables and electronic equipment. Short 0.5 m lengths minimize cable clutter and improve airflow in server racks and patch panels. The set format of ten identical cables simplifies procurement and ensures consistent performance across multiple ports.

Suitable for

• Rack patching and short patch-panel connections
• Switch-to-switch links inside cabinets
• Connections between servers and top-of-rack switches
• High-density network areas where reduced crosstalk is required

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + foil on each pair)
• Pair construction: PIMF (pair in metal foil)
• Length per cable: 0.5 m
• Quantity in set: 10 cables
• Designed for: Gigabit Ethernet and high-speed data links
• Halogen-free jacket for reduced smoke and toxic emissions

How to use

Install the patch cables by plugging the RJ45 connectors into compatible ports on switches, patch panels and network devices. Use 0.5 m cables for short runs within racks or between adjacent devices to maintain neat cable management. Ensure connectors are fully seated and routing avoids sharp bends; maintain recommended bend radius to preserve performance. For mixed-cable environments, keep shield termination consistent at both ends when using shielded ports or grounded patch panels.

Recommendations

For optimal EMI protection, terminate the shielding to grounded metal patch panels or switch ports supporting shielded connections. Use these short Cat6 S/FTP PIMF cables in dense rack deployments to reduce clutter and maintain airflow; inspect connectors periodically for secure seating and replace any cable with visible damage.
