Verkkokaapeli shiverpeaks BASIC-S 0,25 m Cat7 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S networking cable is a 0.25 m Cat7 S/FTP patch cable engineered for short-distance, high-speed Ethernet connections. It combines a compact form factor with Cat7 performance characteristics to support fast data transmission between closely placed devices. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors provide improved contact reliability and reduced corrosion, while the S/FTP (shielded foiled twisted pair with overall braid) construction offers enhanced protection against electromagnetic interference and crosstalk in congested network environments. The cable’s black jacket and slim profile make it suitable for tidy installations in home, office, or data cabinet setups.

Advantages

The cable delivers Cat7-level signal integrity for applications that demand high bandwidth and low error rates over short runs. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs reduce contact resistance and improve long-term connector performance. The S/FTP shielding structure minimizes external interference and internal pair-to-pair crosstalk, supporting reliable throughput in mixed-cable environments. Its 0.25 m length avoids excess slack, helping maintain organized cabling and reducing clutter in tight spaces.

Suitable for

• Connecting network devices located close together (switch-to-patch panel, switch-to-server, router-to-modem)
• Short interconnects in rack or cabinet installations
• High-speed Ethernet links where shielding is required to limit interference
• Home and small office networks needing tidy, short cable runs

Key specifications

• Length: 0.25 m
• Category: Cat7
• Shielding: S/FTP (individually foiled pairs with overall braid)
• Connector type: RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Color: Black
• Application: Ethernet, high-speed data transmission over short distances

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector fully into the corresponding Ethernet port until a click is felt to ensure a secure connection. Use the cable to link devices that are within 0.25 m of each other, avoiding unnecessary bends or tight kinks that could damage the internal conductors or reduce shielding effectiveness. For installations within racks or enclosures, route the cable to minimize stress on connectors and secure it with appropriate cable management to prevent movement and wear over time.

Recommendations

Prefer this 0.25 m Cat7 S/FTP cable for short, shielded Ethernet links where minimized interference and neat cable management are priorities. Avoid using the cable in longer runs beyond its intended short-distance role; for extended distances select appropriately rated Cat6a/Cat7 cables of suitable length.
