Verkkokaapeli shiverpeaks BASIC-S 0,5 m Cat7 S/FTP harmaa

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S 0.5m Cat7 S/FTP networking cable is designed for short patching runs where high data throughput and signal integrity are required. This 0.5-metre grey cable uses Cat7 wiring and S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, and it is fitted with gold-plated RJ-45 connectors to maintain reliable contact and minimize signal loss. The cable is suitable for connecting network devices in server racks, patch panels, and desktop setups where a compact, high-performance patch lead is preferred.

Advantages

The cable combines Class F (Cat7) performance with S/FTP (shielded/foiled twisted pair) construction to provide robust protection against external interference. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs ensure corrosion resistance and stable electrical contact. Its short 0.5 m length reduces excess cable clutter and signal attenuation in short link installations, while the grey jacket offers a neutral appearance that integrates with common IT environments.

Suitable for

• Short interconnections between switches, patch panels and servers in racks
• Desktop or workstation connections with minimal cable slack
• High-speed Ethernet links up to Cat7 capabilities in local networks
• Environments requiring extra shielding to prevent EMI/RFI interference

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7 (Class F)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 0.5 m
• Connector type: RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Jacket color: Grey
• Application: Ethernet/Network patch cable for high-speed data transmission

How to use

Plug the gold-plated RJ-45 connectors into the corresponding RJ-45 sockets on network devices such as switches, routers, patch panels or network interface cards. Ensure connectors are fully seated and the latch clicks into place to secure the connection. Use this 0.5 m cable for short patch links to avoid unnecessary cable loops; avoid sharp bends near the connector to maintain consistent signal quality. For installation in shielded environments, ensure connector shells and device ports provide proper grounding for the cable shielding.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the cable in short in-rack connections and keep routing away from high-power electrical lines. Verify device port compatibility with RJ-45 Cat7 wiring and ensure proper grounding when using shielded cabling to realize full shielding benefits.
