Verkkokaapeli shiverpeaks BASIC-S 10 m Cat7 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S 10 m Cat7 S/FTP networking cable is a high-performance Ethernet cable intended for reliable, high-speed data transfer in home and office networks. With Cat7 specifications and S/FTP shielding, this 10-metre cable reduces electromagnetic interference and preserves signal integrity over longer runs. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors provide improved contact and corrosion resistance, while the white jacket offers a discreet, modern appearance that fits a variety of installations.

Advantages

The cable’s S/FTP construction combines an overall shield with individually foil-shielded pairs to minimize crosstalk and external interference, supporting stable transmission at higher frequencies. Cat7 performance enables bandwidths suitable for demanding applications, and the 10 m length offers flexibility for routing between devices without extra couplers. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs improve conductivity and reduce contact wear, helping to maintain consistent connections over time.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers, switches and routers in home and office networks
• High-definition streaming and online gaming setups that require low latency
• Structured cabling runs where reduced electromagnetic interference is important
• Workstations and networked peripherals in small business environments

Key specifications

• Length: 10 m
• Category: Cat7
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid plus foil-shielded twisted pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Color: White

How to use

Plug one gold-plated RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your router, switch or modem and the other connector into the Ethernet port of your computer, gaming console or other network device. Ensure connectors are inserted securely until the latch clicks to confirm a stable mechanical and electrical connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sharp edges; maintain gentle curves with a bending radius appropriate for the cable to prevent damage. If you need to run the cable through walls or conduits, follow local building codes and consider professional installation for in-wall cabling.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable in parallel with mains power lines for extended distances, and keep it away from large sources of electromagnetic interference. Use patch panels or keystone jacks for permanent installations and avoid excessive bending or kinking. Periodically inspect connectors for dirt or corrosion and replace the cable if you notice degraded throughput or frequent disconnections.
