Verkkokaapeli shiverpeaks BASIC-S 3m Cat7 S/FTP harmaa

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S 3m Cat7 S/FTP Grey networking cable is a 3-meter Ethernet cable engineered for high-speed data transmission in home and office networks. It offers Cat7 performance with S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, and comes with RJ-45 connectors plated with gold for consistent signal transfer and improved contact durability. The grey jacket provides a neutral appearance suitable for visible cabling runs in workstations, server racks, or media setups.

Advantages

The S/FTP design combines an overall foil shield with individually braided shields around each twisted pair, delivering enhanced protection against external noise and internal crosstalk. Cat7 specification supports higher bandwidths and improved signal integrity compared with earlier categories, enabling reliable gigabit and multi-gigabit connections. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors reduce oxidation and help maintain low-resistance contacts over time. The 3-meter length balances reach and tidiness for desk-to-switch connections or patching within cabinets.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, laptops or gaming consoles to a router or network switch
• Patching between network patch panels and switches in small server racks
• High-bandwidth streaming, online gaming, and large file transfers
• Home office and small business wired Ethernet installations

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded twisted pairs)
• Length: 3 meters
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Color: Grey
• Conductor type: Copper (solid or stranded as per manufacturer standard)
• Suitable frequency range: up to Cat7 standard bandwidths

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector firmly into the corresponding Ethernet port on your device and network equipment until a click confirms the latch is engaged. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension which could impair performance; maintain gentle bend radii and avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines where possible. For patching in cabinets or structured cabling, label each end to ease future maintenance and ensure ports are securely seated.

Recommendations

The cable is intended for indoor use and structured network environments; avoid outdoor exposure to sunlight, moisture or extreme temperatures. For optimal performance, keep cable runs within recommended lengths for your specific network speeds and implement proper cable management to preserve shielding effectiveness.
