Verkkokaapeli ShiverPeaks BS08-26095 20m Cat6a S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-26095 20m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable is built for high-speed wired connections in home and office networks. This black Cat6a cable supports up to 10 Gbps data rates over suitable channel lengths and incorporates S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference. Both ends feature RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to maintain stable signal transmission and resist corrosion. The 20 metre length provides flexibility for connecting switches, routers, networked devices and patch panels while keeping cable runs tidy.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines an overall braided shield with individually foil-shielded pairs, improving noise immunity in environments with multiple adjacent cables or electrical equipment. Cat6a specification ensures higher bandwidth and better alien crosstalk performance compared to lower-category cables. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts enhance conductivity and durability, and the 20 m length reduces the need for additional patching. The black PVC jacket offers a neutral appearance and mechanical protection for everyday installations.

Suitable for

• Wired home networks connecting routers, NAS, gaming consoles and smart TVs
• Office workstations, VoIP phones and desktop computers
• Patch panels and switch-to-switch connections in small server rooms
• Environments with moderate electromagnetic interference where shielded cabling is preferred

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a
• Shielding type: S/FTP (overall braided shield + foiled twisted pairs)
• Length: 20 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Color: black
• Supported data rates: up to 10 Gbps over appropriate channel distances

How to use

Route the cable between network devices avoiding sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic fields. Insert RJ-45 plugs fully into device ports until the latch clicks. For wall-mounted or floor-run installations, secure the cable with appropriate clips or cable ties without crushing the jacket. Test the connection with network diagnostic tools or the devices' link/activity LEDs to confirm proper operation. Follow workplace or building wiring standards when integrating with structured cabling panels.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep individual cable runs within recommended length limits for 10 Gbps transmission, avoid tightly coiling the cable, and maintain separation from high-voltage power lines. Use shielded patch panels and properly grounded equipment when deploying S/FTP cabling in environments with significant interference.
