Verkkokaapeli ShiverPeaks BS08-35010 0,5 m Cat7 U/UTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-35010 0.5m Cat7 U/UTP networking cable is a short patch cable designed for high-speed wired connections in home and small office environments. The cable supports up to 10000 Mbit/s data rates and is terminated with two RJ-45 connectors featuring gold-plated contacts. Its U/UTP shielding provides protection against external electromagnetic interference while keeping the cable flexible and compact in a 0.5 metre length and neutral grey colour.

Advantages

The cable combines Category 7 performance with U/UTP construction to deliver reliable Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections over short distances. Gold-plated connector contacts improve contact quality and reduce oxidation over time. The short 0.5 m length reduces excess cable clutter and signal attenuation in dense rack or desktop setups. The neutral grey jacket and flexible build facilitate tidy installations and easy routing behind equipment.

Suitable for

• Connecting network devices within a patch panel, switch, or desktop in server rooms and home offices
• Short links between modem/router and wall outlet or between switch ports in rack-mounted systems
• High-speed data transfers for NAS, workstations, and gaming consoles over short distances

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7
• Shielding: U/UTP (overall shielded, unshielded twisted pairs)
• Length: 0.5 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Maximum data rate: 10000 Mbit/s
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Colour: grey

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector into the network ports of the devices you want to connect until the latch clicks into place. For the best performance, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable and ensure both connected devices support the required Ethernet speeds. Use the 0.5 m length for short point-to-point connections, tidy patch panels or to replace worn short patch leads without changing port layouts.

Recommendations

Position the cable away from strong electrical noise sources and avoid running it parallel to power lines where possible. If your setup requires longer runs or additional shielding against local interference, choose an appropriate longer cable type or a fully shielded variant and verify device compatibility for 10 Gbit/s operation.
