Verkkokaapeli ShiverPeaks BS08-35054 punainen 5m Cat7 U/UTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-35054 Red 5m Cat7 U/UTP networking cable is a 5-metre connection lead designed for high-speed wired networks. It conforms to Cat7 performance characteristics and uses an unshielded/overall-shield (U/UTP) construction with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold to support stable signal transmission. The cable supports data transfer rates up to 10,000 Mbit/s and is intended for use where high bandwidth and low interference are required.

Advantages

This Cat7 cable delivers higher bandwidth compared with lower-category cables while maintaining backwards compatibility with Gigabit and Fast Ethernet equipment. The U/UTP construction balances flexibility and signal integrity for typical office and home installations. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors improve contact reliability and reduce oxidation risks, and the 5 m length offers freedom in device placement without excess cable clutter.

Suitable for

• Wired connections between PCs, switches and routers in home or office networks
• High-bandwidth tasks such as 4K streaming, online gaming, and large file transfers
• Temporary or permanent setups where a visible colored cable helps cable management

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7 performance level suitable for up to 10 Gbit/s environments
• Length: 5 metres
• Shielding: U/UTP (overall shield with unshielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold plating for improved contact
• Colour: Red
• Conductor type: Twisted pair copper conductors

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 plug into the Ethernet port of your device until it clicks, then connect the opposite end to the network switch, router or modem. For optimal throughput, avoid sharp bends and heavy compression of the cable along its run. Use the full 5 m length to position networked equipment where needed, and verify link and speed indicators on devices to confirm successful connection. If replacing an existing cable, note the orientation of plugs and release tabs when removing the old cable.

Recommendations

For consistent performance, route the cable away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference such as large motors, unshielded power cables, or fluorescent lighting. If the installation requires longer runs or additional protection against interference, consider shielded cable alternatives or structured cabling solutions.
