Verkkokaapeli ShiverPeaks BS75112-W 2 m Cat5e F/UTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75112-W 2m Cat5e F/UTP networking cable provides a standardized connection for Ethernet networks up to 1000 Mbit/s. Designed for short-range links in homes, offices and small network closets, the cable uses Cat5e specification conductors with foil-shielded pairs (F/UTP) to reduce electromagnetic interference and help maintain signal integrity. Both ends are fitted with RJ-45 connectors and the cable is finished in white for a discreet appearance in typical indoor environments.

Advantages

The F/UTP construction offers improved protection against crosstalk and external electromagnetic noise compared with unshielded cables, supporting more stable data transmission in environments with nearby electrical equipment. At 2 meters length, the cable is convenient for connecting devices within close proximity—such as a PC to a router or a switch to a patch panel—without excess slack. The use of RJ-45 terminations ensures compatibility with standard Ethernet ports, while the Cat5e rating supports Gigabit Ethernet where infrastructure permits.

Suitable for

• Connecting a desktop or laptop to a router or switch in a home or office
• Linking network devices in server cabinets or patch panels at short distances
• Establishing wired connections for streaming, online gaming, or VoIP devices
• Temporary wiring during setup or testing of small network installations

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat5e
• Shielding type: F/UTP (foil shield around twisted pairs)
• Length: 2 meters
• Maximum supported data rate: up to 1000 Mbit/s (Gigabit Ethernet capability)
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Color: white

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your device and the other into the corresponding port on a router, switch or modem. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. For best performance, avoid tight bends or kinks in the cable and keep it run separately from high-voltage power lines to minimize interference. If connecting to a Gigabit-capable device and network infrastructure, verify link speed in the device network settings.

Recommendations

Use the ShiverPeaks 2m Cat5e F/UTP cable for short, direct connections where reduced interference is desirable; replace with higher-category shielded cables if future network upgrades require 10 Gigabit speeds or longer runs.
