Verkkokaapeli ShiverPeaks BS75511-0.5S-SET5

The ShiverPeaks BS75511-0.5S-SET5 is a 0.5 m Cat7 networking cable with S/FTP shielding and RJ-45 connectors plated in gold. Designed for short-distance high-speed connections, this cable supports reliable data transfer and reduced electromagnetic interference in compact installations. Its black jacket provides a neutral appearance suitable for office, home or server-room setups.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil shield with individually braided shields around each pair to minimize crosstalk and external interference, improving signal integrity for demanding network environments. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts offer stable conductivity and resistance to corrosion for long-term contact reliability. The Cat7 specification enables higher frequency performance compared to earlier categories, supporting faster throughput for compatible equipment. The 0.5 m length reduces excess cable slack and clutter in tight or rack-mounted configurations.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between wall outlets and network devices
• Server rack or switch-to-patch panel links in compact cabinets
• Connecting desktops, laptops, NAS units and modems/routers where short runs are preferred
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference, such as near power supplies or dense cabling

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Length: 0.5 m
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + braided individual pair shields)
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Color: Black

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device and the other into the corresponding switch, router or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks to establish a secure connection. For optimal performance, avoid tight bends near the connector and route the cable so it is not pinched by furniture or enclosure doors. Use the short length to keep cable routing tidy in patch panels, desk setups or rack-mounted equipment.

Recommendations

For best results, use the cable for short, high-performance links where minimized interference and neat cabling are priorities. Avoid running the cable parallel to unshielded power lines over long distances. Periodically inspect connector contacts for contamination and ensure the cable retains its shape without severe kinks.
