Verkkokaapeli ShiverPeaks BS75711-H0.5Y 0,5 m Cat6 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75711-H0.5Y 0.5m Cat6 S/FTP networking cable is a short patch cable designed for reliable high-speed data transfer between network devices. Constructed to Cat6 specifications with S/FTP (shielded/foiled twisted pair) protection and RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts, this 0.5 metre cable provides reduced crosstalk and improved signal integrity for local connections. The cable's yellow jacket enhances visibility within racks and cable runs, making it easy to trace and manage in both home and small office networks.

Advantages

Shielding on both the overall cable and individual pairs (S/FTP) helps minimise electromagnetic interference and maintain consistent throughput. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts offer lower contact resistance and improved corrosion resistance for stable connections. The half-metre length is suitable for short links, limiting excess cable clutter while preserving full Cat6 performance for gigabit and multi-gigabit applications.

Suitable for

• Short connections between switches, patch panels and network devices
• Home and small office wired networks requiring Cat6 performance
• Rack or wall-mounted setups where visible, colour-coded cabling is helpful
• Environments sensitive to electromagnetic interference where shielded cabling is preferred

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with foil on individual pairs)
• Length: 0.5 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Colour: yellow

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connectors into the corresponding ports on your network devices until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Use the 0.5 m length for short-distance links such as switch-to-patch-panel or switch-to-server connections to minimise slack. Ensure connectors are fully seated and avoid sharp bends near the ends to maintain signal integrity. For installations within equipment racks, route the cable to follow existing cable management paths and use colour coding to match your organisation scheme.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid running this shielded cable parallel to power lines for extended distances; maintain proper grounding for equipment in shielded installations. Choose this 0.5 m Cat6 S/FTP cable when you need a short, visible, and EMI-resistant link for gigabit networking.
