Verkkokaapeli ShiverPeaks BS75715-AW 5m Cat6a S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75715-AW 5m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable provides a 5-metre connection that supports Category 6a performance with S/FTP shielding and RJ-45 terminations on both ends. Designed for stable, high-speed data transmission, the cable is suitable for wired networks where reduced crosstalk and improved electromagnetic interference protection are required. The white jacket offers a neutral appearance for residential or office installations.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding (foil around each pair plus braided overall shield) improves immunity to external electromagnetic interference and minimises near-end and far-end crosstalk, which helps maintain signal integrity at higher data rates. The Cat6a specification supports bandwidths up to 500 MHz and enables 10 Gigabit Ethernet at typical deployment lengths. Factory-terminated RJ-45 plugs ensure broad compatibility with switches, routers, network interface cards and patch panels while the 5 m length provides a balance between reach and tidy cable management.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections in home and small office environments
• High-bandwidth applications such as media streaming, video conferencing and large file transfers
• Connections between switches, routers, patch panels and workstations
• Wired setups where reduced interference and reliable signal quality are required

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a (up to 500 MHz)
• Shielding: S/FTP — individual pair foil plus overall braided shield
• Length: 5 metres
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Color: white
• Typical supported speed: up to 10 Gbps over appropriate link lengths
• Conductor: stranded or solid copper (factory-terminated type for patching)

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the network device (router, switch or network card) and the other end to the corresponding port on the destination device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and areas with strong electromagnetic sources. For best performance, keep the cable run within recommended lengths for Cat6a and avoid bundling with power cables where possible.

Recommendations

For consistent 10 Gbps performance, use the cable within typical horizontal cabling distances and avoid excessive bending or physical stress. Install in indoor, dry environments and secure with appropriate cable management accessories. When connecting to patch panels or keystone jacks, verify the termination type matches the intended use (patch vs. permanent link).
