Verkkokaapeli ShiverPeaks U/UTP Cat. 6 1m

The ShiverPeaks U/UTP Cat. 6 1m networking cable is a one-metre Ethernet lead designed for reliable wired connections in home and office networks. It uses Category 6 wiring to support higher-frequency signals for improved data throughput and reduced crosstalk compared with lower category cables. The cable comes in a yellow jacket and is terminated with RJ-45 plugs featuring gold-plated contacts to maintain good conductivity and corrosion resistance over time.

Advantages

The cable's Cat. 6 specification enables consistent performance for gigabit Ethernet and many demanding network applications. U/UTP construction provides an unshielded twisted-pair core with an overall unshielded jacket, balancing flexibility and signal integrity for typical indoor installations. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure stable contact and reduced signal loss at plug interfaces. The 1 m length minimizes excess cable in compact setups and the yellow color helps with quick visual identification in patch panels and cable runs.

Suitable for

• Connecting a desktop or laptop to a router or switch
• Linking network-enabled printers, NAS devices, and media players
• Short patch connections in server racks or patch panels
• Home office and small business Ethernet networks requiring reliable gigabit links

Key specifications

• Category: Cat. 6 (supports up to Gigabit Ethernet and suitable for many 10GbE short-reach applications)
• Shielding: U/UTP (unshielded overall with unshielded twisted pairs)
• Length: 1 m
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contacts: gold-plated for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance
• Outer jacket color: yellow
• Typical use: indoor patching and device connections

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your device and the other into the corresponding port on a router, switch, or modem. Ensure connectors fully seat until you hear a click indicating the latch is engaged. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sharp kinks; maintain a gentle bend radius to preserve signal integrity. For best performance, keep the cable away from high-voltage power lines and strong electromagnetic sources.

Recommendations

Use this 1 m Cat. 6 cable for short, direct connections where minimal slack is desirable. For longer runs or installations in electrically noisy environments, consider higher-shielded cable types or longer-rated Cat.6A cables as appropriate for your network requirements.
