How to use

Install the HPE 817718-B21 into an available PCI Express slot on a compatible server or workstation following standard electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions. Secure the card in the chassis, connect the external network cable to the Ethernet port, and power on the system. Configure the operating system network settings and install any vendor-supplied drivers or firmware updates required for full functionality. Verify link status and speed through system management tools or the operating system network interface settings.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use quality shielded Ethernet cabling and compatible switches that support the 25 Gbit/s class of links. Keep firmware and drivers up to date, and monitor link health and throughput with standard network management tools. Ensure the host system has available PCI Express bandwidth and appropriate cooling to sustain continuous high-speed operation.
