Verkkokortti Sonnet Twin25G sisäinen kuitu PCI Express 25 Gbps, vihreä

The Sonnet Twin25G Internal Fiber PCI Express network card provides wired 25 Gbps fiber connectivity for servers and workstations that require high-bandwidth, low-latency networking. Designed for installation into a PCIe slot or a Sonnet Thunderbolt PCIe expansion system, the card supports fiber SFP28 transceivers and is suitable for data centers, virtualization hosts, storage networks and demanding media workflows. The product is finished in green and delivers up to 25,000 Mbit/s over fiber optics while remaining compatible with existing 10GbE optical infrastructure.

Advantages

The Twin25G card delivers a straightforward upgrade path from 10GbE to 25GbE using the same optical cabling and switch infrastructure. It supports high throughput and NVMe over Fabrics (NVMe-oF) target offloads to reduce CPU load and latency for storage access. The package includes both full-height and low-profile mounting brackets for flexible installation and two SFP28 transceivers for immediate deployment. Drivers and configuration are available for macOS, Windows, and Linux, and the card can be installed into Sonnet Echo Thunderbolt expansion systems when internal PCIe slots are not available.

How to use

Power down the computer or expansion chassis, install the Twin25G into an available PCIe slot (or into a Sonnet Thunderbolt PCIe expansion system), secure the card with the appropriate mounting bracket, and install the provided SFP28 transceivers. Reboot and install the manufacturer drivers for your operating system, then connect fiber cables to a 25GbE-capable switch or directly to 25GbE storage. Configure network settings using the operating system network control panel, device manager, or command-line tools as required.

Recommendations

Use Sonnet Twin25G for consolidated 25GbE networks to reduce the number of cables and switch ports compared with multiple 10GbE links; enable NVMe-oF offloads where supported to lower CPU usage and improve storage access latency. Verify switch compatibility and firmware support for SFP28 modules and ensure drivers are up to date for optimal performance.
