The Equip 235215 Cat6a network junction box is a compact, white enclosure designed for terminating and protecting Ethernet cable connections. With dimensions of 54mm x 39mm x 29.5mm, this junction box accommodates Cat6a terminations and supports tidy cable management in wall, cabinet or surface-mount installations. The enclosure is constructed to meet CE, REACH and RoHS standards, offering a compliant option for professional and residential network projects.

Advantages

This junction box provides a small footprint and unobtrusive appearance while enabling secure Cat6a cable terminations. Its standardized size and shape simplify installation into common mounting locations. Compliance with CE, REACH and RoHS ensures the unit meets applicable safety and material-restriction requirements. The white finish is neutral for visible installations and helps maintain a consistent aesthetic with wall plates and networking hardware.

Suitable for

• Terminating Cat6a Ethernet cables in office and home networks
• Surface-mount or recessed installations behind wall plates or patch panels
• Protecting RJ45 or punch-down terminations from dust and mechanical strain
• Small-scale data point installations where a compact junction box is required

Key specifications

• Compatibility: Cat6a Ethernet cable terminations
• Color: white
• Material compliance: CE, REACH, RoHS certified materials
• External dimensions: 54 mm x 39 mm x 29.5 mm
• Mounting: designed for surface or recessed mounting behind standard faceplates

How to use

Prepare the Cat6a cable by stripping the outer sheath and arranging conductors according to the chosen termination method. Place the terminated connector or punch-down block into the junction box and secure any fasteners or clips that hold the assembly in place. Route cable entry through the provided openings, ensuring adequate bend radius is maintained. Close the enclosure to protect the connection from dust and accidental contact. For installations within walls, ensure the box sits flush with the faceplate and that any screws are tightened to secure the assembly.

Recommendations

Use the junction box in combination with quality Cat6a connectors and maintain correct cable pair untwisting limits to preserve performance. Avoid overtightening screws that could deform the enclosure, and locate the box where it is accessible for future maintenance. For permanent installations follow local wiring and building codes and test each terminated link with a suitable cable tester to verify Cat6a performance.
