Verkkopistorasia ShiverPeaks 74251-SET Cat 5e 2-porttinen pinta-asennus

ShiverPeaks 74251-SET Cat 5e 2-port Surface-Mount is a compact network socket designed for fixed Ethernet terminations in wall or surface installations. The module provides two RJ45 ports wired to Cat 5e performance levels, suitable for 100BASE-TX Ethernet and compatible with Cat 5e infrastructure. The surface-mount format allows installation where in-wall mounting is impractical, and the two-port layout supports connecting two devices or providing a pass-through and an endpoint in small office, home, or utility locations.

Advantages

The ShiverPeaks Cat 5e 2-port socket offers a space-saving surface-mount design that simplifies installation without the need for recessed boxes. Two integrated RJ45 ports reduce the need for additional patch panels or adapters for straightforward point-to-point connections. Compliance with Cat 5e cabling standards ensures reliable performance for 100BASE-TX networks and compatibility with typical structured cabling used in homes and small offices.

Suitable for

• Ethernet connections for desktops, IP phones, and network devices in homes and small offices
• Surface-mounted installations where in-wall mounting is not possible
• Simple two-port network terminations in server rooms, wiring closets, or utility areas

Key specifications

• Port count: 2 RJ45 ports
• Cabling standard: Category 5e
• Supported network type: 100BASE-TX (compatible with Cat 5e infrastructures)
• Mounting style: Surface-mount (suitable for wall surface installation)
• Application: Fixed network termination for Ethernet devices

How to use

Mount the surface-mount housing to a clean, flat wall surface using appropriate screws or adhesive anchors for the substrate. Terminate incoming Cat 5e cables to the socket’s IDC or punch-down terminals following the T568A or T568B wiring standard matching your existing network. Secure the cover and connect devices using standard RJ45 patch cables. Verify link and speed on connected devices to confirm correct termination and network operation.

Recommendations

Use Cat 5e or higher-rated patch cables for best performance and test each connection with a cable tester after installation. Maintain consistent wiring standard (T568A or T568B) across the network to avoid connectivity issues, and install the unit away from strong electromagnetic sources to reduce interference.
