Verkkosilta Ubiquiti Building-to-Building Bridge 5,15–5,875 GHz IEEE 802.3af

60 GHz point-to-point (PtP) bridge with 802.11ad and a 5 GHz radio for redundancy, delivering high-throughput connectivity up to 500 m. The UniFi Building-to-Building Bridge is supplied as a pair of radios and integrates with UniFi Controller for centralized management. It supports bi-directional throughput of more than 1.7 Gbps and provides plug-and-play setup for fast deployment of gigabit links between buildings.

Advantages

The device combines a 60 GHz high-capacity link with a 5 GHz backup radio for resilient connectivity. Managed via UniFi Controller, it enables centralized configuration, monitoring, and diagnostics. Supplied as a complete pack of two radios, it reduces installation complexity and offers PoE power support and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces for straightforward integration into existing networks.

Suitable for

• Short-range building-to-building connectivity (up to 500 m)
• High-bandwidth links for video, data replication, and backhaul
• Sites requiring a redundant radio path using 5 GHz
• Environments where quick plug-and-play deployment is needed

How to use

Mount the two radios facing each other with a clear line of sight and connect each unit to the local network using the Gigabit Ethernet port. Provide power via a compatible PoE injector or switch that meets IEEE 802.3af. Use the UniFi Controller to adopt the devices, configure the 60 GHz primary link and the 5 GHz redundancy settings, and monitor link status and performance. Allow a few minutes for initial link establishment and automatic optimisation.

Recommendations

Install with unobstructed line of sight and minimal nearby 60 GHz/5 GHz interference. For maximum reliability, align antennas precisely and verify PoE supply capacity. Use the 5 GHz radio as backup in scenarios with occasional 60 GHz attenuation due to weather or obstructions.
