Verkkovideonauhuri Reolink RP-PN16-NHD — Reolink RP-PN16-NHD NVR

Reolink RP-PN16-NHD is a network video recorder (NVR) designed for use with Reolink IP and PoE cameras. It centralizes recording, storage management and playback for up to 16 video input channels, supports continuous, scheduled and motion-triggered recording, and allows remote viewing via Reolink apps or a web interface. The unit accepts PoE-connected cameras to simplify installation and offers local playback and export of recorded footage for evidence handling.

Advantages

The RP-PN16-NHD integrates PoE power delivery and network connectivity into a single cable per camera, reducing installation complexity. It supports high-resolution recordings up to 3840 x 2160 pixels and expandable storage to accommodate long retention periods. Built-in AI capabilities include perimeter protection (line crossing, zone intrusion, zone lingering), AI video search by descriptive keywords, heat mapping for traffic analysis and smart event detection for object left/removed alerts. The NVR also supports multi-user access for concurrent monitoring and centralized control.

Suitable for

• Retail stores and supermarkets for loss prevention and heat-map-based layout optimization
• Office buildings and corporate sites for perimeter and access monitoring
• Museums and public venues for visitor flow analysis and targeted surveillance
• Small to medium-sized installations requiring up to 16 camera channels with PoE

Key specifications

• Supported video input channels: 16
• Maximum supported resolution: up to 3840 x 2160 pixels
• Expandable storage: up to 32 TB (SATA HDD interface)
• Input bandwidth: 400 Mbit/s
• Output bandwidth: 400 Mbit/s
• Network interface: Ethernet (RJ-45) with Power over Ethernet (PoE) support for cameras
• Number of simultaneous users: up to 20 users

How to use

Connect compatible Reolink PoE cameras to the NVR using Ethernet cables to provide both power and data. Configure recording modes (continuous, scheduled, or motion-triggered) and set AI detection parameters through the Reolink client or mobile app. Use the web interface or local monitor output for playback, evidence export and system configuration. Ensure you install a compatible SATA HDD for local storage and format it via the NVR interface before use.

Recommendations

Place cameras and configure AI detection zones according to critical areas you need to protect. For reliable long-term recording, use a surveillance-grade HDD and set appropriate retention policies; enable scheduled backups for important footage. Limit simultaneous high-resolution streams if network bandwidth approaches the listed input/output bandwidth to avoid dropped frames.
