Vesipumppupihdit Knipex Cobra XS

Cobra XS slip-joint pliers by Knipex are a compact tool designed for work in very tight spaces. With an overall length of 100 mm and a slim head, they combine a small footprint with a gripping capacity up to Ø 28 mm and a width across flats up to 24 mm. The pliers feature hardened gripping surfaces, a box joint with dual guide for durability, and a guard to protect the user’s fingers.

Advantages

The compact design and slim head enable optimum access in narrow areas while the single-handed fine adjustment slide allows quick, precise fitting to different workpiece sizes. Hardened teeth (approx. 60 HRC) and high wear resistance ensure a long-lasting secure grip. The pliers are self-locking on pipes and nuts, which prevents slipping and reduces required hand force. Their durable box joint construction with dual guide increases stability and service life.

Suitable for

• Tight-space maintenance and repair work
• Turning nuts and bolts up to 24 mm across flats

How to use

Select the appropriate adjustment position by sliding the fine adjustment mechanism to match the size of the nut, bolt or pipe. Place the slim head of the pliers around the workpiece, ensure the hardened teeth engage the surface, then apply steady hand pressure. For repetitive tasks, benefit from the self-locking action which keeps the workpiece secured with reduced grip force. Use the guard to avoid pinching fingers while operating.

Recommendations

Use these compact slip-joint pliers for tasks in confined spaces and for small-diameter pipes and fasteners. Avoid using the tool on heavily rusted or deformed fasteners that exceed the stated gripping capacity. Regularly inspect the jaws and keep them clean to maintain the hardened teeth’s grip and prolong service life.
