VGA-EDID-emulaattori ATEN 2A-130G

The ATEN VGA EDID Emulator 2A-130G ensures a computer or video source detects a display even when no local monitor is connected. It stores a default ATEN EDID (Extended Display Identification Information) in non-volatile memory, enabling stable video signal handshake and preventing display-related boot or resolution issues in KVM extender and video extender installations.

Advantages

The 2A-130G emulates and retains EDID data in non-volatile memory so the source consistently recognizes a display. Its compact form factor and lightweight design make it easy to install in tight spaces. The unit uses a VGA (D-Sub) connector and a USB Type-A connector, with a short 0.35 m cable for straightforward integration into ATEN KVM and video extender setups.

Suitable for

• ATEN KVM extender installations without a local monitor
• Video extender systems where the source must detect a display at boot
• Setups that require stable EDID handshake to avoid resolution or signal issues

Key specifications

• Model: ATEN 2A-130G
• Connectors: VGA (D-Sub) and USB Type-A
• Cable length: 0.35 m

How to use

Connect the VGA and USB Type-A connectors of the 2A-130G to the computer/video source or extender unit according to your ATEN extender installation instructions. Once connected, the emulator presents the stored ATEN EDID to the source so the system recognizes a display during boot and signal negotiation. No software or drivers are required for basic EDID emulation.

Recommendations

Install the emulator at the local site where no monitor is present, and verify signal and resolution settings after initial connection. For complex EDID needs or custom resolutions, consult ATEN documentation or technical support.
