Victron Energy Smartshunt 300A 50mV IP65 SHU065130050 shunt akun valvontaan

The Victron Energy Smartshunt 300A 50mV IP65 is a precision battery shunt designed for accurate current measurement and state-of-charge monitoring in off-grid, marine, and mobile power systems. Rated for continuous currents up to 300 A with a 50 mV full-scale voltage drop, the Smartshunt provides reliable data for energy management and integrates with Victron monitoring solutions to display charge, discharge and battery health information. Its IP65 protection rating makes it suitable for installations where dust and water spray resistance are required.

Advantages

The Smartshunt offers precise current sensing with a low voltage drop to minimize energy loss during measurement. It is compatible with common battery systems and communicates with Victron monitoring equipment for real-time state-of-charge, cumulative amp-hours and power flow data. The IP65 enclosure protects the electronics in demanding environments and simplifies installation in marine and mobile applications. Designed for continuous 300 A operation, the shunt supports accurate long-term monitoring without significant heating or performance drift.

Suitable for

• Off-grid solar battery banks and home energy storage systems
• Marine electrical systems on boats and yachts
• Mobile power setups: campervans, caravans and service vehicles
• Battery monitoring in backup power and UPS installations

Key specifications

• Continuous current rating: 300 A
• Full-scale voltage drop: 50 mV
• Ingress protection: IP65 (splash and dust resistant)
• Functions: current measurement, state-of-charge calculation, cumulative amp-hour tracking
• Compatibility: designed for integration with Victron monitoring systems

How to use

Install the Smartshunt in the battery negative return line between the battery and load/charger according to standard electrical safety practices, ensuring secure mechanical and electrical connections. Connect monitoring and communication cables to the designated terminals or wireless interface as specified by the system documentation. After installation, configure the battery capacity and system parameters in the connected Victron monitoring device or app to enable accurate state-of-charge and amp-hour tracking. Verify polarity and tighten connections to specified torque values to ensure reliable measurement and avoid heating at terminals.

Recommendations

For best results, calibrate the monitoring settings to match the installed battery type and capacity, perform periodic inspections of cable connections for corrosion or loosening, and maintain adequate ventilation around the shunt to avoid prolonged exposure to high ambient temperatures. Use the Victron monitoring interface to log historical data and detect unusual charge or discharge patterns early.
