Videokaapeli-sovitin ShiverPeaks BS77483-RE

The ShiverPeaks BS77483-RE is a 3 m video cable adapter that connects HDMI Type A (Standard) to DVI-D. Designed to transmit high-quality digital video signals between HDMI-equipped sources and DVI-D displays, this adapter provides a straightforward solution for linking PCs, laptops, media players and other HDMI sources to monitors, projectors and older DVI-only screens. Its molded connectors and shielded cable construction are intended to provide stable signal transfer over the 3-metre length while minimising interference.

Advantages

This HDMI to DVI-D adapter supports digital video transmission without analog conversion, ensuring a clean signal path for resolutions commonly used in monitors and projectors. The 3 m length gives flexibility in device placement without requiring additional extension hardware. Robust connector housings and strain-relief moulding at both ends increase mechanical durability and reduce risk of cable damage from bending or frequent plugging and unplugging.

Suitable for

• Connecting HDMI source devices (PCs, laptops, set-top boxes, media players) to DVI-D monitors
• Linking HDMI laptops to projectors that accept DVI-D input for presentations
• Replacing short or incompatible cables in home or office display setups
• Temporary or semi-permanent connections in meeting rooms, classrooms, and studio environments

Key specifications

• Cable length: 3 metres
• Connector A: HDMI Type A (Standard) male
• Connector B: DVI-D male (digital only)
• Signal type: Digital video (HDMI to DVI-D)
• Construction: Shielded cable with moulded connector housings and strain relief

How to use

Power off both devices before connecting when possible. Insert the HDMI Type A end into the HDMI output of the source device and connect the DVI-D end to the DVI-D input of the display. Secure connections by ensuring connectors are fully seated; no additional drivers are required for basic video transmission. After connecting, power on the devices and select the appropriate input on the display. Configure resolution and refresh rate in the source device’s display settings to match the capabilities of the DVI-D monitor or projector.

Recommendations

For stable image quality, avoid sharp bends and excessive twisting of the 3 m cable and keep it away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference. Note that DVI-D does not carry audio; use a separate audio connection if sound is needed. If you require higher resolutions with audio over a single cable, consider using HDMI-to-HDMI solutions or active converters that support audio embedding.
