Videopuhelinmoduuli Akuvox MD12 useilla soittopainikkeilla, laajennusmoduuli ovipuhelinjärjestelmään

Akuvox MD12 is a video doorbell and intercom extension module designed to expand Akuvox entry panels with multiple programmable call buttons. Intended for integration with Akuvox intercom systems, the MD12 enables selection of apartments or units, provides audio and video signaling to the main system, and supports centralized management through the parent Akuvox controller. Its compact design allows installation alongside existing panels in residential and commercial buildings to increase calling capacity without replacing the full outdoor station.

Advantages

The MD12 adds multiple call keys to an Akuvox entry system while maintaining audio and video signaling compatibility with Akuvox indoor stations and management platforms. It supports centralized configuration, simplifying label assignment and button mapping for installers and building managers. The module’s design focuses on reliable visitor calling and straightforward expansion of entry panels without major system changes.

Suitable for

• Expanding calling capacity of Akuvox outdoor entry panels in apartment buildings
• Adding additional call keys for commercial premises, offices, or retail entrances
• Upgrading older entry systems in multi-tenant properties without replacing the entire station
• Sites requiring centralized management of call button assignments and signalling

When it may not be suitable

The Akuvox MD12 is intended specifically as an extension module for Akuvox intercom systems; it is not a standalone video doorbell and requires an Akuvox-compatible parent station or controller to function. If a property needs a complete replacement of an outdoor station with integrated camera, keypad, or advanced standalone access control features, a full outdoor station rather than an extension module may be more appropriate.

Key specifications

• Function: extension module for video doorbell / intercom with multiple call buttons
• Call buttons: multiple programmable keys for selecting apartments/units (quantity depends on configuration)
• Signalling: audio and video signalling compatible with Akuvox indoor stations
• Integration: designed to integrate with Akuvox intercom systems and centralized management
• Installation: mounted alongside existing entry panels; requires connection to Akuvox parent station
• Use case: residential and commercial buildings for visitor calling and access control expansion

How to use

Install the MD12 adjacent to or in place of an existing Akuvox panel according to Akuvox installation guidelines and wiring diagrams. Connect the module to the parent Akuvox station or controller, assign button labels and destinations through the centralized management interface, and verify audio and video signalling to indoor stations. After configuration, use the call buttons to place visitor calls to the assigned apartments or units; responses and access control remain managed by the primary Akuvox system.

What to consider before purchase

• Compatibility with your existing Akuvox outdoor station or controller is required
• Confirm the number of programmable call buttons needed for your building layout
• Check installation space and mounting options adjacent to the current entry panel
• Ensure your system supports centralized configuration and mapping of additional modules

Recommendations

For reliable operation, plan module placement to maintain clear wiring runs to the parent station, label keys consistently for residents, and apply centralized configuration during installation to reduce on-site adjustments. Use original Akuvox documentation for wiring and firmware compatibility checks.
