Viilasarja BAHCO 1-477-08-2-2 — 5-osainen käsiviila, 200 mm:n hienous

BAHCO 1-477-08-2-2 is a 5-piece hand file set with 200 mm cut length designed for general shaping, deburring and finishing of metal, wood and plastic. The set contains a variety of file profiles to cover common workshop and maintenance tasks, offering versatility for detail work, repair and craft applications. Each file has been produced to deliver consistent material removal and predictable surface finish across different substrates.

Advantages

The assortment of five profiles allows fast adaptation to different contours and edges without changing tools frequently. The 200 mm cut length provides a balance between control and reach for precise filing and modest material removal. Files are heat-treated and hardened to maintain cutting performance and resist premature wear. Ergonomic handles ensure a secure grip and reduce hand fatigue during repeated use, while the uniform tooth geometry promotes even filing and reduces clogging on soft materials.

Suitable for

• Shaping and smoothing metal parts in maintenance and repair
• Removing burrs and flash from machined components
• Fitting and finishing wooden elements in joinery and carpentry
• Trimming and profiling plastic parts in prototyping and model making
• General workshop, hobby and craft filing tasks

Key specifications

• Number of files: 5 pieces
• Cut length: 200 mm
• Material suitability: metal, wood, plastic
• Assortment of profiles for flat, round and corner filing
• Heat-treated steel construction for wear resistance
• Ergonomic handles for improved grip and control
• Uniform tooth geometry for consistent material removal

How to use

Select the file profile that best matches the shape you need to work on — flat files for planar surfaces, round files for internal radii and half-round or triangular files for edges and corners. Secure the workpiece in a vise or clamp to prevent movement. Apply steady, even strokes in the direction of the cutting teeth, using controlled pressure on the forward stroke and light pressure on the return stroke to preserve the teeth. Periodically clean the teeth with a file card or wire brush to maintain cutting efficiency. Replace the file if teeth become worn or damaged to avoid poor finish and increased effort.

Recommendations

For best results, pair these hand files with appropriate clamps and personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves. Use cutting lubricant when working with tougher metals to extend file life and improve finish; avoid excessive force to maintain control and prolong tool durability.
