The male-to-male configuration minimizes signal loss for short runs and is compatible with most HDMI devices that use standard Type A connectors.

Recommendations

Use the Vivolink PROADRING2 for short, direct HDMI connections between devices with standard Type A ports. Avoid using the adapter in long-distance signal runs or in-line with high-bandwidth demands beyond 1080p@60Hz. Keep contacts clean and handle the adapter gently to preserve connector integrity.
