Why choose it

The NPL series is known for its excellent optical quality and comfortable viewing. The 15mm focal length offers a versatile magnification for medium-power observations, and the fold-down eyecup accommodates both eyeglass wearers and non-eyeglass wearers. Edge-blackened lenses reduce internal reflections, enhancing contrast on faint objects.

Ideal use cases

• Planetary observation: Jupiter’s cloud belts, Saturn’s rings, Mars’ polar caps
• Lunar viewing: craters, rilles, and maria with sharp detail
• Deep-sky: open clusters, globular clusters, and brighter nebulae
• General-purpose visual astronomy with any 1.25" focuser

Good to know

The eyepiece is parfocal within the NPL series, meaning minimal refocusing when swapping between NPL focal lengths. It features standard 1.25" filter threads for adding nebula or planetary filters. The anodized aluminum housing is durable and lightweight.
