ZTE GFCH C+ CARD — XGSPON & GPON Combo -linjakortti, 16 porttia

The ZTE GFCH C+ CARD — XGSPON & GPON combo line card, 16 ports is a fiber access module designed for integration into compatible ZTE service provider access platforms. It combines XGSPON and GPON interfaces on a single line card, allowing operators to support both 10 Gbps-class XGSPON subscribers and GPON subscribers concurrently. With 16 subscriber ports, the card enables consolidation of mixed passive optical network (PON) services in FTTH deployments and simplifies migration strategies from GPON to higher-capacity XGSPON without requiring separate hardware for each PON type.

Advantages

The combo card provides flexible service provisioning by supporting two PON technologies on one module, reducing rack space and hardware complexity in access nodes. Consolidation of ports lowers the need for additional line cards when operating mixed PON networks. The module is suitable for gradual network upgrades: operators can deploy XGSPON where higher bandwidth is required while maintaining GPON connectivity for existing customers. The 16-port density balances capacity and slot utilization for typical aggregation and access scenarios.

Suitable for

• FTTH access aggregation in service provider networks
• Mixed PON environments where GPON and XGSPON coexist
• Network upgrade and migration paths from GPON to XGSPON
• High-density subscriber termination in access nodes

Key specifications

• Combined XGSPON and GPON optical interfaces on a single line card
• 16 subscriber ports for PON termination
• Designed for integration with ZTE access platforms
• Supports concurrent service delivery to GPON and XGSPON subscribers
• Optimized for FTTH deployments and service aggregation

How to use

Install the line card into a compatible ZTE chassis according to the chassis installation instructions and ensure the platform recognizes the module. Connect fiber pigtails or patch cords from the card’s optical ports to the passive optical splitters or distribution panel in the field. Configure PON profiles, bandwidth allocation, and service parameters in the access platform management system to provision GPON and XGSPON ONTs/ONUs. Monitor optical levels and port status via the management interface to confirm proper operation and subscriber connectivity.

Recommendations

Ensure compatibility with the target ZTE access node and verify firmware and management software versions before deployment. Use appropriate optical split ratios and fiber plant design for XGSPON and GPON services, and validate ONU/ONT compatibility with each PON technology. Implement staged migrations to XGSPON where higher bandwidth is required while maintaining SLAs for existing GPON subscribers.
