ACT 2 metrin LSZH monimuotokuitu 50/125 OM2 -kuituverkkokaapeli duplex ST-liittimillä

The ACT Fiber patch cable duplex 2 meter LSZH Multimode 50/125 OM2 with ST connectors is a duplex multimode fiber assembly intended for short to medium range high-speed networking. Designed for installations that require reliable full-duplex links, this cable combines OM2 graded 50/125 µm multimode fiber with ST-style connectors and a low-smoke zero-halogen jacket to limit harmful emissions in case of fire. The 2 m length allows flexible placement between network equipment, patch panels and active devices while maintaining low insertion loss and consistent performance across multimode links.

Advantages

The multimode 50/125 OM2 fiber core provides stable modal bandwidth for typical LAN and data center interconnects. ST connectors offer a secure bayonet-style coupling that is simple to connect and disconnect without tools. The LSZH outer jacket reduces corrosive and toxic gas release during combustion, improving safety in enclosed spaces and public buildings. The duplex configuration supports simultaneous transmit and receive channels, enabling full-duplex operation for switches, transceivers and network interfaces.

Suitable for

• Local area network (LAN) horizontal and backbone links
• Connections between switches, transceivers and patch panels
• Campus and office building cabling where low-smoke material is required
• Short- to medium-distance multimode fiber runs in data closets and equipment racks

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode 50/125 µm (OM2)
• Connector type: ST connectors, duplex
• Length: 2 meters
• Jacket: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Mode: Duplex full-duplex transmission

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for cleanliness before installation and clean with appropriate fiber cleaning tools if necessary. Route the cable with gentle bends, avoiding sharp radii and mechanical stress; adhere to the minimum bend radius recommended for multimode fiber to prevent attenuation increases. Plug ST connectors into compatible ST ports on network devices or patch panels until the bayonet coupling clicks into position. For structured cabling, label each end as required by your site documentation and secure the cable within cable management systems to avoid tension and movement.

Recommendations

Use the ACT multimode LSZH duplex patch cable for indoor runs where fire safety is a concern; keep connectors capped when not in use and replace any cable that shows physical damage. Match the OM2 fiber to compatible transceivers and multimode ports to ensure optimal signal performance.
