ACT 2 metrin LSZH monimuotokuitu 50/125 OM3 kuitu-patchkaapeli duplex SC-liittimillä

The ACT Fiber Patch Cable 2m LSZH Multimode 50/125 OM3 Duplex SC is a pre-terminated fiber optic lead designed for indoor network and data centre installations. It provides duplex SC terminations for simple mating with SC ports and uses 50/125 µm multimode OM3 fiber to support high-speed short-range transmission. The LSZH jacket reduces toxic smoke and halogen emissions in the event of a fire, making the cable suitable for enclosed spaces and structured cabling environments where safety and air quality are priorities.

Advantages

This 2 metre multimode cable offers low insertion loss and reliable signal integrity for duplex links. The SC connectors ensure consistent mechanical alignment and easy plug-and-play operation. The OM3 fiber core and modal bandwidth characteristics support increased bandwidth over short distances, while the LSZH sheath enhances safety in indoor installations by limiting smoke and corrosive gases during combustion.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching between switches and patch panels
• Riser and horizontal structured cabling in office environments
• High-speed short-range links in server rooms and telecom closets
• Environments requiring low-smoke, low-halogen cabling for safety compliance

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode 50/125 µm OM3
• Length: 2 metres
• Connector type: Duplex SC to Duplex SC
• Jacket: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Configuration: Duplex (parallel transmit and receive)
• Typical applications: Short-range, high-bandwidth multimode links

How to use

Route the cable through cable management pathways or trays to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress. Align and insert each SC connector into the corresponding SC port until it clicks; ensure transmit and receive pairs are correctly matched for full duplex operation. Avoid sharp bends near the connector ends and secure the cable with appropriate ties or clips to prevent movement and strain. If necessary, label both ends to simplify maintenance and network identification.

Recommendations

Maintain a minimum bend radius as specified by multimode fiber standards (typically 10× the cable diameter for non-loaded cables) and keep connectors clean using appropriate fiber cleaning tools before connection. Store spare lengths coiled without tight loops and avoid exposure to chemicals or excessive heat to preserve optical performance and the LSZH jacket properties.
