ACT 20 m multimode 50/125 OM4 Polarity Twist kuituverkkokaapeli LC-liittimillä

The ACT RL8420 20 m OM4 fibre optic cable with dual LC connectors provides a multimode link designed for high-speed data transmission in short- to medium-range networks. The cable features a 50 µm core diameter and LC duplex terminations on both ends in a violet jacket, suitable for installations where OM4 performance and colour-coded identification are required.

Advantages

This OM4 fibre cable supports higher bandwidth and lower attenuation compared with lower-graded multimode fibres, enabling reliable 10 Gb/s and higher parallel optical transmissions over campus, data centre, and enterprise cabling. The dual LC connectors provide a compact duplex interface that is widely compatible with modern network equipment. The 20 m length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack or equipment-to-equipment connections while maintaining stable optical performance.

Suitable for

• Data centre trunk and patching between racks
• High-performance server and switch interconnects
• Storage area network (SAN) links requiring multimode OM4
• Telecommunications rooms and backbone multimode links

Key specifications

• Length: 20 m
• Fiber type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: 2x LC duplex on both ends
• Jacket colour: violet

How to use

Verify the required OM4 multimode connection and the LC duplex port availability on both devices before installation. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for multimode cables. Insert the LC connectors into corresponding LC ports until they click into place, ensuring correct polarity for transmit and receive paths. For patch panel installations, use appropriate cable management to secure and label the cable runs.

Recommendations

Handle connectors with protective caps until installation to prevent contamination. Clean connector end faces with appropriate fibre-optic cleaning tools before mating. For optimal performance, limit cable bending and strain, and verify link quality with an appropriate optical test device after installation.
