Adapteri ShiverPeaks 98876 — video-audio-N-liitin – F-pistoke-adapteri

The ShiverPeaks 98876 adapter converts a Video Audio‑N coupling to a standard F connector, allowing devices with N‑type audio/video ports to connect to equipment with F‑connector coaxial inputs. It is intended for use in installations where an interface conversion is needed between N‑style AV outputs and F‑type inputs, for example when integrating test equipment, professional RF devices or consumer satellite and cable receivers into existing coaxial systems.

Advantages

This adapter provides a straightforward mechanical and electrical transition from an N‑type AV coupling to an F‑connector, maintaining coaxial signal continuity with minimal additional insertion loss. Its compact form factor simplifies installation in tight spaces and reduces the need for permanent re-cabling. The adapter is compatible with typical coaxial cable assemblies and accepts standard F‑connector mating, offering a practical solution for temporary or permanent interface conversion.

Suitable for

• Connecting N‑type audio/video outputs to F‑connector inputs on receivers and distribution amplifiers
• Integrating professional RF equipment with consumer coaxial networks
• Temporary test and measurement setups requiring interface adaptation
• Home AV installations where a device with an N connector must feed a coaxial F input

Key specifications

• Connector type (input): N‑type audio/video coupling (female/male as required for mating)
• Connector type (output): Standard F connector for coaxial cable interfaces
• Function: Passive adapter for mechanical and electrical interface conversion between N and F connectors
• Form factor: Compact inline adapter suitable for tight installation spaces
• Compatibility: Works with typical coaxial cabling and standard mating F connectors used in cable/satellite and many AV systems

How to use

Align the N‑type coupling with the corresponding N connector on the source device and secure the connection according to the connector's threading or coupling mechanism. Attach the standard F connector side to the coaxial cable or device input by screwing the F nut until hand tight, ensuring proper seating of the center conductor. Verify connections are secure and check signal continuity or quality with the intended equipment. Avoid excessive torque when tightening to prevent damage to connector threads.

Recommendations

Use the adapter in dry, indoor environments or protected enclosures to prevent corrosion and maintain reliable contact. For best signal integrity, keep cable lengths short where possible and use properly shielded coaxial cables. If the installation is permanent or outdoors, consider using weatherproofing measures at the F connector and compatible sealing for the N coupling.
