Aktiivinen optinen kaapeli BlueOptics QSFP-DD 400GBASE-SR8, Ethernet/Infiniband, 3 m

Active Optical Cable BlueOptics QSFP-DD 400GBASE-SR8, Ethernet/Infiniband, 3 m is a factory-terminated multimode fiber assembly designed for high-density data center interconnects. The QSFP-DD form factor supports 400GBASE-SR8 short-reach links and is suitable for Ethernet and InfiniBand environments. With a 3 m length and low power consumption, this AOC provides optical transmission optimized for switch-to-switch and server-to-switch connections inside racks and across adjacent racks.

Advantages

The cable integrates transceiver modules and a multi-channel multimode optical interface into a single, compact assembly that eliminates field termination and simplifies installation. Its QSFP-DD connector supports high port density on modern switches and servers while reducing electrical pin count and thermal load. The 400GBASE-SR8 optical design enables parallel multimode transmission for reliable short-range performance, and the factory-polished fiber and robust housing deliver consistent signal integrity and reduced insertion loss compared with many passive copper alternatives.

How to use

Install the Active Optical Cable by inserting each QSFP-DD connector into the corresponding QSFP-DD ports on your network devices until the latch engages. Ensure both ends are compatible with 400GBASE-SR8 operation and that the network equipment supports AOC modules of this form factor. No field termination or fiber polishing is required; handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid sharp bends near the cable ends. Verify link status and speed on the connected devices after insertion and consult device logs or diagnostics if the link does not establish.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, route the cable to minimize bend radius and mechanical stress; avoid tight coils and compression. Use the 3 m length for short-reach paths inside and between adjacent racks. Confirm firmware and compatibility matrices on switches and servers for QSFP-DD AOC support and enable relevant 400G port settings. Maintain clean connector interfaces and inspect ports before insertion to prevent contamination-related signal loss.
