Akun erotuskytkin IWH 100A ajoneuvon akun erottamiseen sähköjärjestelmästä

Battery disconnect switch IWH 100A for isolating vehicle battery from electrical system is a manual rotary switch designed to interrupt the 12V battery feed to a vehicle or equipment electrical system. Rated for continuous current up to 100 A, it provides a safe and simple method to disconnect the battery without removing cable terminals. The switch is intended to reduce parasitic drain, prevent accidental shorts during maintenance, and offer an added layer of security while the vehicle is stored or transported.

Advantages

The IWH 100A battery disconnect switch offers a compact, robust solution for isolating the battery quickly and reliably. Its manual operation requires no tools, enabling fast switching between connected and disconnected states. By breaking the main battery feed, the device reduces parasitic current draw and minimizes the risk of electrical faults during repair or long-term storage. The construction is suitable for automotive and light equipment environments where consistent 12V isolation is needed.

Key specifications

How to use

Install the switch in line with the battery positive cable following standard automotive wiring practices, ensuring secure bolted connections and corrosion-protected terminals. To disconnect the battery, rotate the control to the off position until the feed is open; to restore power, rotate back to the on position ensuring contacts are fully engaged. Always switch off loads and follow vehicle manufacturer safety precautions before operating the device. Verify correct installation with a multimeter if necessary.

Recommendations

Regularly inspect terminal connections for tightness and corrosion. Use appropriate cable gauges and torque values compatible with a 100 A circuit. Do not exceed the rated continuous current and avoid using the switch as a frequent load switch under heavy currents; it is intended primarily for isolation during storage, maintenance, and emergency shutoff.
