AOC aktiivinen optinen kaapeli CBO SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q30M 30 m

The AOC active optical cable CBO SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q30M 30 m is a factory-terminated, fixed-length SFP28 solution designed for 25GbE and backward-compatible 10GbE links. This 30‑meter assembly integrates SFP28 electrical interfaces with optical fiber transmission to provide a lightweight, low-power interconnect for server, switch and storage equipment in data center and enterprise rack-to-rack environments. The cable is supplied with SFP28 connectors on both ends and is intended for short- to medium-reach connections where predictable latency and reduced electromagnetic interference are required.

Advantages

The active optical construction reduces insertion loss and supports high data rates while consuming less power than equivalent copper direct-attach cables over the same distance. Factory termination and standardized SFP28 connectors simplify installation and ensure consistent performance out of the box. Being an optical assembly, the cable minimizes susceptibility to electromagnetic interference and is lighter and easier to route in dense cabling environments compared with copper alternatives.

Suitable for

• 25 Gigabit Ethernet server-to-switch and switch-to-switch links
• 10 Gigabit Ethernet legacy or mixed-speed networks requiring compatibility
• Rack-to-rack interconnects in data centers and server rooms
• High-density cabling where weight and cable diameter impact routing

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 on both ends
• Length: 30 meters (fixed length assembly)
• Supported data rates: 25GbE native, backward compatible with 10GbE
• Transmission medium: Active optical fiber
• Power consumption: low-power AOC design (typical for active optical assemblies)
• Form factor: direct-attach cable with integrated transceivers

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your network devices until the latch engages. Verify link LEDs and device diagnostics to confirm a successful connection. No external transceivers or patch panels are required for a direct-attach deployment. Ensure that both ends are compatible with SFP28 ports and that firmware or driver requirements of the connected devices are met for proper link negotiation.

Recommendations

Handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid sharp bends; observe the minimum bend radius specified by the manufacturer. Keep the optical connector dust caps in place until installation and protect unused ports. For best performance, match the cable length and data rate to the network design and verify compatibility with switch and server vendor interoperability lists when available.
