AOC CBO SFP+ BlueOptics BO353503J30M 10G aktiivinen optinen kaapeli, 30 m

The AOC CBO SFP+ BlueOptics BO353503J30M 10G Active Optical Cable, 30 m is a factory-terminated duplex optical cable with integrated SFP+ connectors designed for direct connection of 10 Gigabit SFP+ ports. The single-plug solution replaces separate transceivers and patch cables to provide a compact, low-power, and low-latency link for switches, servers and storage systems. With a 30 meter reach and multimode fiber construction, this active optical cable supports high-bandwidth data center interconnects and rack-to-rack links while reducing port density and cable management complexity.

Advantages

This 10G active optical cable offers plug-and-play operation with no need for separate optical transceivers, simplifying deployment and saving power compared with discrete module-plus-fiber solutions. The integrated SFP+ form factor ensures compatibility with standard SFP+ ports while the optical medium provides immunity to electromagnetic interference and improved signal integrity over longer distances than copper DACs. The factory-terminated, consistent assembly reduces installation time and potential connector mismatch.

Suitable for

• Data center top-of-rack and end-of-row connections
• Rack-to-rack links within the same equipment room
• High-performance computing and storage cluster interconnects
• Switch-to-server and switch-to-switch 10 Gigabit links

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ integrated connectors for direct port insertion
• Data rate: 10 Gigabit per second (10G)
• Length: 30 meters
• Media type: Active optical cable (duplex multimode fiber)
• Latency: low-latency optical transmission suitable for high-throughput environments
• Power: lower power consumption compared with separate optical transceiver plus patch cable setups

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP+ connector directly into the corresponding SFP+ ports on the two devices to be linked. Ensure that both ports support SFP+ and are configured for 10G operation. Use standard cable routing practices to avoid tight bends near the connector and secure the cable within the rack to prevent strain on the connectors. No separate transceivers, fiber patch cords, or additional configuration should be required beyond verifying link status and speed on connected devices.

Recommendations

Verify compatibility with your switch, server, or storage vendor's supported SFP+ list before deployment, and avoid excessive bending radii to maintain optical performance. For permanent installations in dense environments, label both ends to simplify maintenance and monitor link status through existing network management tools.
