Audion esivahvistin AUDAC PRE116 Bluetooth 90 dB SNR 20-20000 Hz

The AUDAC PRE116 Bluetooth audio preamplifier is a 6-channel stereo preamp designed for small to medium sized professional audio installations. It accepts multiple microphone and line-level sources, offers integrated Bluetooth connectivity, and provides user controls for input volume, master level and tone shaping. With a signal-to-noise ratio of 90 dB, a frequency response of 20–20,000 Hz and compact rack-friendly dimensions, the PRE116 is intended for paging, background music distribution, voice announcements and mixed-source audio routing in commercial or institutional environments.

Advantages

The PRE116 combines balanced microphone inputs with phantom power, multiple balanced and unbalanced line inputs, and an onboard Bluetooth receiver for flexible wired and wireless source integration. Front-panel rotary controls and a 6-segment LED VU bar provide intuitive real-time level monitoring and adjustment. A switchable talkover function and a priority mute contact enable automatic suppression of background audio for paging or alarm integration. The device offers stable 100–240 V mains operation, low power consumption and a compact 482 × 335 × 44 mm footprint for easy installation in standard equipment racks.

Suitable for

• Paging systems and voice announcements in shops, schools or offices
• Background music distribution in restaurants, hotels and retail spaces
• Small to medium AV installations requiring multiple line and microphone sources
• Integration with alarm or priority systems using priority mute contacts
• Temporary or permanent setups needing Bluetooth or front-panel auxiliary input

How to use

Connect microphones to the balanced mono inputs and enable phantom power when using condenser microphones. Use XLR and RCA connectors for line-level sources, and pair a Bluetooth device or plug into the front 3.5 mm input for mobile or laptop audio. Adjust each input level with the front-panel rotary dials, set the master level to the required output and use the LED VU bar to monitor levels. Configure gain, mono/stereo switching and tone settings on the rear panel as needed. To enable priority paging or alarm interruption, wire the priority mute contact to the external system so that non-priority sources are suppressed on contact closure.

Recommendations

The PRE116 performs best when input levels are set so the VU meter peaks within its nominal range, avoiding persistent clipping or excessive attenuation. For clean microphone capture, enable phantom power only for condenser microphones and place microphones properly to minimize background noise. When using Bluetooth, keep paired devices within typical Bluetooth range and avoid obstructions for stable audio streaming. For installations requiring local wall-panel inputs, consider the ARJ12P junction box and compatible WP2xx series panels to extend input flexibility.
