Aktiivinen optinen InfiniBand-kaapeli CBO QSFP-AOC-20M-FR-BO — 20 m QSFP-QSFP

CBO QSFP-AOC-20M-FR-BO is a 20-meter active optical InfiniBand cable with QSFP-to-QSFP connectors designed for high-speed interconnects in data centres and high-performance computing (HPC) clusters. The fibre-based construction provides a low-loss optical link for short- to mid-range connections where copper cables are impractical, reducing electromagnetic interference and easing cable routing in dense rack environments.

Advantages

The active optical design delivers consistent signal integrity over a 20 m distance while maintaining low latency and high throughput for InfiniBand traffic. QSFP connectors enable direct pairing with compatible QSFP ports, simplifying deployment and reducing the need for transceivers. The cable's optical nature eliminates EMI concerns and allows for lighter, more flexible cabling compared with equivalent copper assemblies.

Suitable for

• Data centre top-of-rack and end-of-row server interconnects
• High-performance computing (HPC) cluster node connections
• Storage area network (SAN) links requiring low latency
• Inter-rack connections where electrical cabling is not feasible

Key specifications

• Connector type: QSFP to QSFP
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Length: 20 metres
• Intended protocol: InfiniBand-compatible high-speed link
• Advantages: Low insertion loss, immunity to electromagnetic interference, lightweight and flexible

How to use

Install the cable by aligning and inserting each QSFP connector into the corresponding QSFP port on the devices until the connector latch engages. Ensure both endpoints are powered down or follow hot-plug guidelines from the switch or host vendor before connecting if required. Verify link status using the host or switch management interface and monitor for stable link lights or software-reported link up. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the manufacturer to preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this active optical cable in environments with compatible QSFP ports and InfiniBand support. Avoid tight bends and excessive pulling force when installing. Verify firmware and driver compatibility of connected equipment and confirm link rates in the management console after installation.
