Aktiivinen optinen kaapeli 1 m CBO SFP28-AOC-1M SonicWall - SFP28 1m

CBO SFP28-AOC-1M for SonicWall is a 1-meter active optical cable (AOC) engineered for SFP28 ports to provide a short-reach optical link for 25 Gbps class interfaces. The pre-terminated, plug-and-play design delivers a single-cable solution for high-speed connections between racks or adjacent network devices, reducing electrical interference and offering lower latency than equivalent copper links. This Active Optical Cable is intended for data center topologies, switch-to-switch interconnects and network closet deployments where a reliable 25 Gbps SFP28 connection is required.

Advantages

The SFP28 AOC provides stable 25 Gbps throughput with lower power consumption compared to active copper solutions and avoids signal degradation caused by electromagnetic interference. Its factory-assembled, sealed connectors eliminate on-site termination and simplify installation and maintenance. The short 1 m length keeps signal paths compact in dense rack environments and helps maintain consistent performance across high-density switch fabrics.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack fibre interconnects in data centres
• Switch-to-switch connections in network closets
• High-speed uplinks and server aggregation
• Environments requiring immunity to electromagnetic interference

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 form factor
• Data rate: 25 Gbps class link
• Length: 1 metre
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Compatibility: Designed for SFP28 ports and SonicWall equipment compatibility
• Application: Short-reach intra-rack and inter-rack connections

How to use

Insert each SFP28 module end into the corresponding SFP28 port on the network devices until the connector latches. No field termination or additional transceivers are required. After connection, verify link status on the devices and confirm negotiated speed of 25 Gbps. For removal, depress the latch and pull the module straight out to avoid damaging the port. Handle the cable by its connectors and avoid tight bends near the ends to maintain optical performance.

Recommendations

Use the 1 m AOC for short, high-density connections where low latency and reduced interference are important. Avoid routing the cable near sources of excessive heat and maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. Verify firmware and hardware compatibility with SonicWall switches or transceivers before deployment.
