Aktiivinen optinen SFP+-AOC-kaapeli CBO SFP-AOC-10G-2M – 10 Gbit/s, 2 m

CBO SFP-AOC-10G-2M is an active optical SFP+ AOC cable that delivers 10 Gbps data transmission over a 2 meter length. It is designed for short-range, high-speed connections between compatible SFP+ ports in network switches, servers and storage systems. The integrated active optics remove the need for separate transceivers, enabling simplified deployment and reduced component count in dense networking environments.

Advantages

The cable offers full 10 Gbps throughput with low latency and stable signal integrity across the 2 m distance. Its plug-and-play design supports direct connection between SFP+ ports without additional modules, which reduces installation time and rack space usage. The Active Optical Cable construction provides electrical isolation, lower power consumption compared with some copper alternatives, and immunity to electromagnetic interference, making it suitable for crowded data center racks.

Suitable for

• Data center uplinks and top-of-rack (ToR) switch connections
• Server-to-server high-speed interconnects
• Storage area network (SAN) short-range links
• High-density switch stacking and port consolidation

Key specifications

• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Connector type: SFP+ form factor plugs on both ends
• Length: 2 meters
• Transmission medium: active optical cable (AOC)
• Typical application range: short-reach interconnects within racks or adjacent racks
• Latency: low, suitable for high-performance networking

How to use

Insert each SFP+ plug into the corresponding SFP+ port on your compatible switches, servers or storage appliances until the latch engages. Ensure both ports support SFP+ AOC modules and that firmware or OS drivers are up to date for automatic recognition. No external power supply or separate transceivers are required. After connection, verify link status through device LEDs or management interfaces and confirm 10 Gbps negotiation where applicable.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short, high-speed links inside racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid tight bends and excessive pulling force; follow minimum bend radius specifications for optical cables. Verify compatibility with your equipment vendor’s SFP+ port support list if required, and keep connectors capped when not in use to prevent contamination.
