BlueOptics AOC SFP+ Marconi SFP-AOC-10G-3M 10 Gbit/s aktiivinen optinen kaapeli, 3 m

BlueOptics Marconi SFP-AOC-10G-3M is a 3-meter Active Optical Cable (AOC) with SFP+ connectors that supports 10 Gbps data transfer. Designed for short-range high-speed interconnects, this cable integrates optical transceivers and a duplex fiber link in a single assembly, eliminating the need for separate transceivers and patch cords. It is suitable for direct connections between switches, network interface cards (NICs) and servers where low latency and reliable 10 Gigabit links are required.

Advantages

The integrated AOC design reduces installation complexity by combining optics and cable into one pre-tested unit, lowering the chance of connector mismatch and improving signal integrity over short distances. As a fiber-based solution, it provides electrical isolation and immunity to electromagnetic interference while maintaining low power consumption compared with some copper alternatives. Compact SFP+ form factor and a 3 m length make it convenient for rack-to-rack or server-to-switch connections inside data centers.

Suitable for

• Data center uplinks and top-of-rack switch interconnects
• Direct server-to-switch or server-to-server 10 Gbps links
• High-density network racks where space and cable management are important
• Environments requiring low-latency, electrically isolated optical links

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ (hot-pluggable duplex optical)
• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with integrated optical transceivers
• Length: 3 meters
• Transmission medium: multimode optical fiber within AOC assembly
• Typical applications: short-reach interconnects within racks and between adjacent racks

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on network equipment until the latch clicks, ensuring the link partners are powered on and configured for 10 Gigabit operation. No separate optical transceivers or patch cords are required; the cable is a single, pre-terminated assembly. Verify link status through device LEDs or management interfaces and confirm negotiated speed and duplex settings. To remove the cable, release the latch and gently pull the connector straight out to avoid damaging the port.

Recommendations

Use this 3 m AOC for short-reach connections inside racks or between adjacent racks where a reliable 10 Gbps optical link is needed. Avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling force on the cable; maintain minimum bend radius specified by the manufacturer to preserve optical performance. Ensure SFP+ ports on connected devices support active optical cables and 10 Gbps operation before deployment.
