BlueOptics CBL-LC-OM4-50M-BO InfiniBand-kuituoptinen kaapeli 50 m 2x LC

The BlueOptics CBL-LC-OM4-50M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 50m 2x LC is a duplex multimode OM4 cable designed for high-speed data links in data centres and professional networking installations. With a 50 metre length and two LC connectors, this cable supports full duplex InfiniBand connections and is suited for short to medium reach links where low loss and high bandwidth are required. The 50 µm core diameter OM4 fibre is optimized for laser transmission and higher modal bandwidth compared with lower-grade multimode fibres.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable provides stable high-throughput connections with low attenuation over the specified 50 metre span. The use of OM4 multimode fibre enhances bandwidth and supports higher data rates for InfiniBand applications. Dual LC terminations ensure easy installation in standard network and storage equipment while preserving polarity for duplex operation. The cable construction is intended to minimise signal degradation and maintain consistent performance in cabling infrastructure.

Suitable for

• InfiniBand connections between switches, servers and storage in data centres
• High-speed short-range links in networking racks and equipment rooms
• Optical uplinks and cross-connects where OM4 performance is required

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 50 m
• Connector type: 2 x LC (duplex)
• Transmission: full duplex
• Application: InfiniBand and high-speed multimode links

How to use

Identify appropriate LC ports on both ends of the InfiniBand devices, verify transceiver compatibility and ensure correct duplex polarity before connecting. Route the cable through cable management pathways to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended by the cabling environment. Insert LC connectors into the transceiver or adapter until they click and secure any strain relief or mounting points as needed. Test the link with network diagnostics or optical power meters to confirm expected throughput and signal quality.

Recommendations

Store and handle the OM4 cable in a clean environment, keep connector endfaces protected with dust caps when not in use, and avoid twisting or exceeding bend radius limits to preserve optical performance. For installations in data centres, label both ends and document link paths to simplify maintenance and troubleshooting.
