CBO aktiivinen optinen kaapeli SFP-AOC-10G-3M — 10 Gbit/s, 3 m, SFP+

The CBO Active Optical Cable SFP-AOC-10G-3M — 10 Gbps, 3 m, SFP+ is a 3‑metre active optical direct-attach cable designed for short-reach 10 Gbps links between SFP+ ports. It connects switches, servers and storage devices with a single pre-terminated SFP+ module at each end, offering the bandwidth of 10 Gigabit Ethernet with the form factor and simplicity of a direct-attach solution. The integrated optical transceivers eliminate the need for separate fiber transceivers and patch cords while reducing electromagnetic interference and latency compared with copper alternatives.

Advantages

This active optical cable provides consistent 10 Gbps throughput over a 3 m distance with lower power consumption than many active copper solutions. The pre-terminated SFP+ ends simplify installation and reduce component count in rack deployments. Because the link is optical, it minimizes susceptibility to electromagnetic interference and offers stable signal integrity for high-speed data center and enterprise network connections.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet uplinks between switches
• Server-to-switch connections in rack environments
• Storage area network (SAN) short-reach links
• Interconnects inside data centers and telecom cabinets

Key specifications

• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Cable length: 3 metres
• Connector type: SFP+ on both ends (active optical)
• Medium: optical fiber with integrated transceivers
• Link type: short-reach direct-attach active optical cable
• Compatibility: SFP+ ports supporting 10GBASE standards

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on your network devices until the latch engages. Ensure devices are powered down or follow hot‑swap procedures recommended by the hardware vendor if connecting to live equipment. Confirm link activity and 10 Gbps negotiation through device LEDs or management interfaces. For multi-vendor environments, verify that connected SFP+ ports accept third‑party active optical cables or enable vendor-agnostic mode if required.

Recommendations

Route the cable to avoid tight bends and maintain the manufacturer's minimum bend radius; avoid kinks and mechanical strain on the SFP+ connectors. Use the 3 m length for short interconnects within racks or between adjacent racks; for longer spans, choose a longer rated AOC or a fiber transceiver solution. Keep firmware and device port settings up to date to ensure stable 10 Gbps operation.
