CBO AOC Coriant SFP-AOC-10G-2M 10G aktiivinen optinen kaapeli 2 m (SFP+)

CBO AOC Coriant SFP-AOC-10G-2M 10G Active Optical Cable 2 m (SFP+) is a 2‑metre SFP+ active optical cable designed to provide a compact, low-latency 10 Gbit/s link between devices with SFP+ ports. The cable integrates optical transceivers and multimode fiber in a single assembly to replace separate transceivers and patch cords, simplifying connections in switches, servers and storage equipment for short‑reach data center and rack‑to‑rack interconnects.

Advantages

The integrated design reduces component count and physical footprint while maintaining electrical compatibility with SFP+ ports. As an active optical cable, it offers lower latency and reduced electromagnetic interference compared with equivalent copper direct-attach cables. Its fixed 2 m length and factory-terminated optical interfaces eliminate field termination and reduce installation time, enabling clean, reliable connections in dense rack environments.

Suitable for

• Short-reach data centre connections between switches and top‑of‑rack devices
• Server-to-switch links in rack deployments
• Storage array connections requiring 10 Gbit/s SFP+ interfaces
• High-density patching where space and cable management are critical

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ electrical/optical form factor
• Data rate: 10 Gbit/s
• Length: 2 metres
• Cable type: Active optical cable (integrated transceivers with multimode optical link)
• Latency: Low latency design suitable for short interconnects
• Connector type: SFP+ compliant plugs at both ends

How to use

Power down or follow hot‑swap procedures required by connected equipment, then insert each SFP+ plug into the corresponding SFP+ port until it latches. Verify link status through the host device LEDs or management interface and ensure correct data rate negotiation to 10 Gbit/s. For removal, release the latch mechanism and pull straight out. No separate transceivers or fiber patch cords are required; the cable is ready to use out of the box.

Recommendations

Use the cable for in‑rack and adjacent‑rack connections up to its 2 m length; avoid tight bends and maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. Operate within the equipment’s supported temperature and power specifications and check compatibility lists for SFP+ port vendor interop when deploying in heterogeneous environments.
