DAC-kaapeli CBO QSFP28-DAC-2M 2 m yhteensopiva Sophos QSFP28 Direct Attach Copper

CBO QSFP28-DAC-2M is a 2 meter direct-attach copper (DAC) cable compatible with Sophos QSFP28 ports. Designed for short-distance, high-speed interconnects, this BlueOptics cable provides reliable QSFP28 connectivity for switches, routers and servers that support QSFP28 interfaces. The passive copper assembly offers low latency and plug-and-play installation for rack-to-rack links and data center uplinks where predictable performance and minimal configuration are required.

Advantages

The cable delivers a high-bandwidth QSFP28 physical connection over a short 2 m span with low signal loss and minimal power consumption compared to active modules. Its direct-attach copper construction eliminates the need for separate transceivers, simplifying installation and reducing component count. The unit is designed for hot-pluggable use and supports typical QSFP28 rates, offering a cost-efficient and reliable option for dense server and switch environments.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack high-speed links in data centers
• Switch-to-switch or switch-to-server uplinks supporting QSFP28
• Short-reach connections requiring low latency and plug-and-play deployment

Key specifications

• Connector type: QSFP28 to QSFP28 compatible
• Cable type: Direct-attach copper (DAC), passive
• Length: 2 meters
• Supported link class: Short-reach high-speed interconnects
• Typical use: Rack and data center uplinks with QSFP28 interfaces

How to use

Insert each QSFP28 connector into the corresponding port on the devices to be linked, ensuring the retention latch engages. The cable is hot-pluggable and requires no additional configuration on most network devices beyond verifying link status. For best results, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain recommended bend radii for copper assemblies. Monitor device interfaces to confirm negotiated link speed and correct operation after installation.

Recommendations

Use this 2 m QSFP28 DAC cable for short-distance connections inside racks or between adjacent racks; avoid extending beyond its specified 2 m length and keep the cable away from strong electromagnetic interference sources for consistent performance.
